Landscape Materials Yard

Our professional friendly staff will help you with any questions you may have. We are here to help you figure out what product will work best for your project and how much material will be needed. Here you will find three kinds of bark, two kinds of playchips, compost, topsoil and Fertile Mulch.

Bark 
Dark Fine Bark: Our dark fine bark is brought in especially for Bark Time. It is composed of fir/hemlock blend. Particle size is ½” minus. This product aids in adding nutrients (nitrogen) back into the soil, erosion control, prevention of soil compaction, weed control, and moderates soil temperature & moisture retention.

Red Fine Bark: This product is not available locally and is also brought in especially for Bark Time. Particle size is ½” minus. This product is good erosion control, prevention of soil compaction, weed control, and moderates soil temperature & moisture retention.

Medium/Fine Bark: Our medium bark is consistent in size and color. It is also a fir/hemlock blend. Particle size is 2” minus. This product aids in erosion control, prevention of soil compaction, weed control, and moderates soil temperature & moisture retention.

Compost
We are proud to be a local distributor of the largest composting facility in the US. We carry Cedar Grove Fine Compost. As a soil amendment, it will add nutrients to the soil and also helps with moisture retention and keeps soils from compacting.

This product is made from recycled green waste and food waste. Cedar Grove's manufacturing process involves minimizing, screening, and removing inert particles and pieces that are commonly found in commercially composted feedstocks. Some level of inert material may still be present in this product after it is cleaned and processed. These materials will not harm your plants, vegetables or landscape.

3-Way Topsoil
Produced by Topsoils NW in Snohomish Valley. This is a great product for raised vegetable gardens, flower beds and new lawns for a topdressing. It contains: Sandy loam soil, aged cow manure, and coarse washed sand. High in nutrients and draining qualities!

Fertile Mulch
Produced by deJong’s Sawdust & Shavings. Great also for flower beds and vegetable gardens this product is made from cow manure and sawdust. It is a dark brown color and has been composted fully to insure that there is no weed seeds or smell.

Playchips
Woodcarpet Playchips: This is an ADA (American Disability Act) approved playchip. Made out of real cedar with a particle size of 1” minus. The edges look like they have been tumbled. This special process gives the added benefit of no sharp edges and wheelchair accessibility. Readily used in playground at daycares, public and private schools, for dog runs, kennels, and pathways.

Cedar Playchips: We also carry standard cedar playchips. The particle size may very, but usually in the range of  2” to 4”.  The look is not as uniform as Woodcarpet and has a tendency to be thicker.
